Bio

Dr. Shahmanzari received his Ph.D. degree in Operations Management and Information Systems from Koç University (AACSB accredited) in 2019. His primary research interests lie in the area of Operations Research, Business Analytics, Large Scale Optimization, Data Analysis, Metaheuristics, and Machine Learning. Dr. Shahmanzari studies the application of optimization algorithms and big data analytics to a wide range of areas including healthcare, transportation and logistics, scheduling, and day-ahead market auctions to develop data-driven decision makings.
His research appeared in journals such as Production and Operations Management, European Journal of Operational Research, Applied Soft Computing, and Journal of Operational Research Society, among others. He has presented his research output at international conferences, workshops, and universities. He is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Business Analytics.
